Back in 2016, Hospital Radio Bedside launched a brand-new initiative called Friends of HRB...
Friends of HRB is a monthly-donation scheme which replaced the existing membership fees, and also aimed to attract support from the wider community.
Previous volunteers, friends and family, people who we meet at events, everyone was welcome to join!
It may have taken us 4 years to get there, but the scheme now boasts more than 100 members!
Although the majority of our Friends are still current volunteers, the number of other subscribers is increasing all the time. The split is approximately 60/40, which is a fantastic achievement.
What is more, we have recently expanded the scheme beyond the original £2-per-month option, and now offer both £5-per-month and £10-per-month alternatives. We've got subscribers at every tier already.
In such difficult times, it's wonderful to have some good news to share.
