Val became an HRB volunteer in 2012 after meeting other volunteers during the Queens Jubilee - not long after that she became a presenter.

During her Thursday evening show she always features tracks from her favourite singer, Charlie Landsborough and The Bournemouth Male Voice Choir.

Val is also the secretary & welfare officer of the Veterans of Dunkirk, Bournemouth and Poole Branch.
